10. Def Leppard – Pour some sugar on me

Pour some sugar on me is a single from Def Leppard’s album Hysteria that was released in 1987. This song became an instant hit and went on to reach number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 back in 1988. It was also ranked as number 2 greatest songs on VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the 80’s in 2006.

Pour Some Sugar on me sent Hysteria’s sales way high, making this album number 1 on Top Pop Albums chart a year after release. Thanks to this single, Hysteria sold four million copies. MTV ranked it as number 1 in its top 300 Videos of All Time countdown in 1991. In 2006, this song was ranked “number 1 song used by strippers during their set” by AVN. Lay it Down is a single that was released by American glam metal band, Ratt. This song was written by Stephen Pearcy, Juan Croucier, Robbin Crosby, and Warren DeMartini – all members of Ratt group. Lay it Down became so popular that it was even features in the video game Brutal Legend (you can hear it playing during third battle against Lyonwhyte).

Lay it Down ranked # 11 on Mainstream Rock Chart back in 1985 and #40 on Billboard Hot 100.

Kiss Me Deadly is Lita Ford’s most popular and memorable songs of all time. Released in 1988, this song made Lita Ford become an instant sensation in the Glam Metal world. It was ranked position 12 on US Billboard Hot 100, 40 on US Album Rock Tracks, and position 21 in New Zealand back in 1988.

Kiss Me Deadly was written by Mick Smiley and produced by Mike Chapman. It’s approximately 3.59 minutes long.

7. Whitesnake – Is This Love

Is This Love is a song by English rock band Whitesnake. This single was an instant hit when it was released back in 1987. It reached position 9 in UK Singles Chart and position 2 in US Single Chart. Is This Love was reissued in 1994 in order to promote Whitesnake’s Greatest Hits. After being reissued, this song reached position 25 on UK Singles Chart.

Is This Love has been features in a few Whitesnake’s live albums such as Live: In the Shadow of the Blues (2006) and Live in Donington 1990 (2011). Is This Love was also played live by John Sykes in 2004.

6. Motley Crue – Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home was originally released in 1985 by American band Motley Crue on their Album Theater of Pain. They later released Home Sweet Home again in 1991 on their compilation album Decadence 81 – 91.

Home Sweet Home has since been recorded by multiple artists such as Carrie Underwood as a cover version. This song charged at number 89 on Billboard Hot 100 and position 37 on same chart in 1992. To date, this song was the last Motley Crue song to chart in American Billboard Top 40.

I Remember You also charted position 36 on UK Singles Chart. In 2003, Skid Row acquired a new lead singer Johnny Solinger who recorded a second version of this song entitled I Remember You Two. You can access this new version on their album Thickskin.

I Wanna Rock was written by Dee Snider and performed by his band Twisted Sisters back in 1984. It was named 17th VH1 Greatest Hard Rock Songs by VH1. I Wanna Rock has been used as the title song for 2003 video game Will Rock, as a soundtrack for 2008’s Burnout Paradise video game, as well as 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
